Volodymyr Zelensky dreams of retaking the annexed Crimea


"The war started in Crimea, and it will end in Crimea". This is what Volodymyr Zelensky, the Ukrainian president, hammered in opening the Summit of the "Crimean Platform". About sixty leaders or institutions are present for this edition which gathers the main states supporting Ukraine, and which is held in Kyiv in a protected place. If the President of Poland, a faithful ally of Ukraine, has moved, the other leaders have sent messages. Warsaw wants to persuade other countries to come to the aid of Kyiv.

The first summit of the diplomatic initiative "Crimea Platform" was held in Kyiv just a year ago to find ways to return the Crimea annexed in 2014 to Ukraine.

French President Emmanuel Macron said in a video message, "We can have no weakness, no spirit of compromise, because what is at stake is the freedom of all of us, and peace in all parts of the globe."
